Satellite Description

In 2019 finding an unexpectedly low prevalence of AF in West Suffolk, a multidisciplinary team-based CCG Transformation project was set up to raise its profile. I was the appointed GP and along with the lay member we decided to visit interested community bodies to broadcast the issues of AF. We offered AliveCor testing after an ‘AF Presentation’ discovering a surprising cohort of undiagnosed AF. The pandemic swiftly curtailed this activity but we saw an excellent opportunity in the Covid vaccination clinics with an ideal and enthusiastic ‘captive’ audience for further opportunistic case finding.
