This session will focus on how adopting a multi-factorial approach to management of people with type 2 diabetes can improve patient cardiovascular outcomes through lifestyle modification, improved glycaemic control and a reduced risk of micro and macro vascular complications. The importance of tailoring treatment targets and strategies in line with individual patient circumstances will also be discussed.
