Rebecca has worked in the field of anticoagulation and VTE management at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 2009, including working as a consultant pharmacist role in thrombosis.
Her roles have included leading on a number of anticoagulant safety initiatives, audits, change management projects and guideline development, to optimise management of anticoagulation in VTE and AF in secondary care and across the primary-secondary care interface. This includes creating a Thrombosis app of guidelines on anticoagulation, VTE and management of bleeding. Her specialist interest is on optimisation of anticoagulation in patients with complex VTE requiring thrombolysis.
As Chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association Haemostasis, Anticoagulation and Thrombosis (HAT) committee, Rebecca has delivered a number of talks across the country on safe prescribing of anticoagulation and the VTE prevention programme as well as being a regular speaker at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress, UKCPA Annual Conferences and DOAC Masterclasses.
