Ted Butler
Ted is the founder and Chairman of PM Healthcare (previously Pharmacy Management), and is based for much of the year in Australia.
Ted has worked within PM Healthcare since its inception and has led on major projects in both secondary and primary care in all 4 countries of the UK.
Throughout this period the company has forged relationships with many pharmacy organisations and Health Boards across the UK- leading to the creation of a comprehensive meetings programme across the year in all home countries.
Tackling challenging communication issues for the improvement of patient care through pharmacy is a subject relished within PM Healthcare
Jo Griffiths
Jo is our Head of Operations and Governance (Client Services) and has an extensive background within the pharmaceutical industry in both primary and secondary care built up over 17 years. During this time Jo recruited, led and coached teams, planned and executed projects, and organised and managed resources whilst continually working to improve business efficiencies.
Based in Stoke on Trent, Jo lives with her husband Rob, 2 grown-up children and dog Vinny. Outside of work, most of Jo’s time is spent in the gym. Jo has been weight training since 2015 and has competed in several bodybuilding competitions over the years. Jo is also an avid supporter of Stoke City Football Club.
Tara Kendrick
Tara has 15 years account management experience with a background in the Pharmaceutical industry. Tara joined PM Healthcare in May 2022 as a Client Services Manager, managing bespoke projects and National Conferences.
Based in Shropshire, Tara enjoys spending her spare time with family, friends and her French Bulldog Winnie.
Giulia Chapple
Giulia has gained over 20 working years’ experience working in the hospitality and leisure industry in various positions, which has provided her with a wealth of knowledge and a great skill set. Giulia is now using the skills she has gained to support the service delivery team in the delivery of various projects and conferences.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her family & friends and enjoys having some quiet time when she can fit it in.
Madelaine Keen
Maddy joined the PM Healthcare team in October 2024. Maddy has a First-class degree in Events Management BA (Hons) which she is able to use in her role as Client Services Assistant, assisting in the delivery of National Conferences and bespoke projects. Outside of work, Maddy loves travelling and spending time with her family and friends. She has previously spent two winters working abroad in ski resorts.
John Chater
John is the editor of the PM Healthcare Journal and also regularly chairs PM Healthcare webinars and conferences.
He has written extensively about the NHS and has created and delivered NHS and compliance training and courses for many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and med tech companies.
John has worked in the NHS, the third sector, and as a Whitehall speechwriter and policy maker at the heart of government. He is a law graduate and has completed the Law Society’s solicitor’s exams.
Theresa Durkan
Theresa is the woman who looks after our money (and pays the staff expenses) and is therefore a Very Nice Lady. As the favourite pet of a dog called Marmite, she spends a lot of time walking. When she manages to find a few minutes’ respite from being a busy mother, she enjoys travelling, the theatre, country pubs and good restaurants.
Val Shaw
Val worked for 35 years in the NHS but in 2016 she took the plunge, sold her house in England, got married on Midsummer’s Day and moved to a little piece of paradise in south west France near Carcassonne.
Her office is now under the olive trees outside, where she builds up the vitamin D levels depleted over many years working in the usual pharmacy basement location. Val works for us on special projects as a Professional Adviser.
She has 2 daughters, 40 olive trees and is conducting in-depth research into local vineyards and restaurants. She is also in the gite business.
